Some Signs of Life in Diamondbacks 6-3 Win

Ok, that’s a little better.  Just a little.

The Arizona Diamondbacks offense made a showing tonight at Chase Field as they defeated the Colorado Rockies 6-3.  Starter Jon Garland was much better this time out as he went 6 2/3 innings, only giving up two runs, one earned.  For a change, the offense came along for the ride.

Mark Reynolds hit a solo home run and Miguel Montero showed some life by banging a three run homer into the pool in right center field.

Chad Qualls closed things out with a solid ninth.

Now that the Dbacks have put together a game from both the offensive and the defensive side of the ball, they need to show some consistency in doing so.  This past weekend the offense stayed home while the pitching made a trip to San Francisco. Patience will grow thin in this town.  Even though this is still a young team, expectations have risen.  Hopefully tonight is a sign of things to come.  However, keep this in mind, it was just Colorado.  If they are having games like this against the Chicago Cubs next week, excellent.  Oh and one more wish, more Augie Ojeda!
