You used to be able to say there is no place like home. Lately, for the Arizona Diamondbacks, there is no place like the road. The Dbacks, fresh off a 6-3 road trip, return home to face the San Diego Padres at 12:40 today at Chase Field.
This is the time to seize the opportunity to start making a move up the standings chart. With the Padres riding a nine game winning streak and the Dodgers still comfortably resting in first place, it will be nothing short of a large uphill climb, however there is still time to reverse the damage done over the first seven weeks of the season.
Let’s hope the hot bats continue in a place where the only thing hot are the hot dogs and hamburgers.
