Dbacks Win Thanks to Upton, Scherzer

Just call it the Justin Upton and Max Scherzer show today.  That’s all they needed in order to salvage game three of the series against the San Francisco Giants, winning 2-1 today.

Scherzer went for his longest outing as a major leaguer, 7.2 innings and Justin Upton went yard for this 12th home run of the season.

The Dbacks’ Stephen Drew saw his 14 game hitting streak come to an end and Mark Reynolds struck out three times today for a league high 87 strikeouts.  There’s something to be proud of!  Last year after striking out a league high 204 times, Reynolds is set to obliterate that record.  What an accomplishment! (can you sense the sarcasm? hint hint)

The Houston Astros are next.  Yea!
