Sure, small miracles do take place.
The Arizona Diamondbacks continued their winning ways with a 4-3 victory over the San Diego Padres Tuesday night. It is the second consecutive series win for the Dbacks, who still have not lost since Mark Reynolds called his team out after a lackluster loss in Colorado on Friday night.
Doug Davis pitched another good game. He wore down a little in the seventh inning and eventually had to give way to the bullpen. He improved his record to 4-8, although his stats all say he should be like 10-2. The bullpen did not let him down tonight. Maybe it was because the catalyst of the bad bullpen, Tony Pena, was traded away to the Chicago White Sox earlier in the day for minor-leaguer Brandon Allen.
No matter how you look at it, a win is a win just as a loss is a loss. I’ll take the win any way I can get it. Let’s get five tomorrow!
