The Arizona Diamondbacks are almost an after thought these days. The way they are playing, they should be thankful they are garnering any thoughts, even from yours truly.
Once again, a superior opponent, the NL Wild Card leaders in the Colorado Rockies, came to town and took care of their business, winning today 5-1 after winning last night 10-4, maintaining their wild-card lead. Today, the victim was Dan Haren. He fell to 14-9 and his ERA jumped to 2.90. Definitely one disappointment among several today.
Other disappointments:
- Mark Reynolds saw his average drop to .266. He had reached the .280′s at one point.
- The only RBI today was from the pitcher, Dan Haren. Same thing happened the other night too.
- Dbacks were only 1-6 with runners in scoring position today.
Six home games left. Does anyone care?
