Diamondbacks Catch Wrong Side of Box Score Again

Well, at least the Arizona Diamondbacks are consistent.  Consistently not very good right now.  With the reminder the Dbacks are playing a lot of young guys, the fact is, after today’s 12-6 loss in Scottsdale to the San Francisco Giants, the Dbacks have now given up 31 runs in only three games.  They’ve scored 14.

Today’s starter, Edwin Jackson, actually had a decent outing.  He gave up two hits in two innings.  Meanwhile reliever Brian Augenstein didn’t fare  as well.  He took the loss after giving up six runs and four hits in only an inning and two-thirds.  Augenstein, for a pitcher who could be considered for the fifth spot in the starting rotation or a middle-relief spot in the bullpen, didn’t do much to help his cause.

Tomorrow may go by without another win as well.  Rain is expected in the state and it could be Monday before the Dbacks see the winning side of things.  We’ll see.
