Diamondbacks Showing a Little Power in Early Going

We knew the Arizona Diamondbacks offense was going to be a stregnth of the team.  However, the Dbacks have found themselves scoring mostly because of the long  ball.  In only three games, the Dbacks have hit six home runs, all in two games,  Tuesday night, they didn’t hit a single one.  They hit two on opening day and four last night against the San Diego Padres.

Home Runs so far:

Kelly Johnson – 2

Mark Reynolds – 1

Steven Drew – 1

Justin Upton – 1

Chris Young – 1

Granted Drew’s was an inside the park job, but he hit it far enough to make it count.  Adam Laroche and Miguel Montero have both shown some power too, just haven’t hit it far enough to clear the yard yet.  In, time that will happen for both.

I have a feeling we may see some more fireworks starting tomorrow night against the Pittsburgh Pirates and I’m not just talking about the post-game show tomorrow night.

Go Dbacks!
