“Lima Time” has ended, as in the life of the man that created Lima Time, Jose Lima.

Lima, only 37 years old, died of an apparent heart attack in Los Angeles this morning.

Lima went 7-3 lifetime against the Arizona Diamondbacks, doing most of his damage in 2004 as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers, when he went 5-0 against the Dbacks that season. 2006 was the last time he made a Major League Baseball appearance.  Even though he hasn’t been in the majors in over four years, he still is remembered around here for the dominance he had in LA in that 2004 campaign.  He also helped the Dodgers win their post season game since 1988 that year, defeating the St. Louis Cardinals.

It is a shock to all of us to see his time come to end.  All I can say is rest in peace Lima Time.
