He is considered to be a very, very good prospect and possesses the most upside out of all the players coming to Arizona. He is left-handed with a very good frame, 20 years old and performing very well in Single-A. Just thought I should give u a heads up on him, since it is just now being reported that he is also in the deal. I'm guessing the D Backs liked the fact they could plug Saunders into the rotation right away, while adding a couple of high-upside arms who are a few years away from being the majors. I'm guessing there were very few teams willing to take on significant salaries for the long-term and a couple that were (Yankees, Tigers) were simply lacking in quality prospects. I'd be curious to know whether the Yanks were willing to offer Jesus Montero for Haren like they did for Cliff Lee.
