Kirk Gibson is now the full-time manager of your Arizona Diamondbacks. Interim General Manager Jerry Dipoto will become the Senior Vice President of Scouting and Player Development. That position was created for Dipoto.

The only coaches retained were Matt Williams and Glenn Sherlock.

Let go were:

Bo Porter - Porter at one point was a hot commodity for a manager's position elsewhere.  This may free him up to go after those opportunities.

Joel Youngblood - Youngblood was offered a position in the minor-league system.

Mel Stottlemyre Jr. - He is out.  Good.  I've never seen a disaster of a bullpen like this.  Not all his fault, but the Dbacks need a new pitching coach.  He will be offered another position within the organization.

Jack Howell - Out.  A nice guy but the Dbacks offense was very disappointing.  Low batting averages and the number of strikeouts were alarming.

Bring on 2011!
