The Arizona Diamondbacks weren’t nearly as noisy on day two of the Major League Baseball Winter Meetings as they were on day one when they made a plethora of moves. Today, no official moves were made, although rumors continue to swirl.
Word is Justin Upton may be staying. The D’backs just wanted too much and I don’t blame them. It has been reported not to rule out anything, but there is a strong chance that Upton will be here for years to come.
I also read from azcentral.com that Brandon Allen may be shopped around thanks to the acquisition of Juan Miranda a couple of weeks ago. Personally I would like to give Allen just a little longer more to develop unless they think there is a decent market return for him.
We’ll see what day three brings tomorrow. Possibly another reliever? I wouldn’t be surprised.
