Rusty Ryal Sold to Japan

See ya Rusty Ryal.  The Arizona Diamondbacks overhaul continues.  Today they sold the utilityman to the Yomiuri Giants of the Nippon Professional Baseball League.

So that begs the question, what did they sell him for?  Money?  Rocks?  A bag of baseballs?  My money is on a sushi boat.  That's what I would have asked for.  Ryal unfotunately just became part of a numbers game.  With the additions the Dbacks have made in the off-season so far, you knew there would be no room for Ryal.

Ryal started out hot early on in his time in Phoenix, but last season was pretty rough for him.  He hit .261 with only three home runs and 11 RBI.  As you can see, the numbers were low, so it was a no brainer to move him.  To Japan though?  You don't see that too often.  Hopefully he has some time to brush up on his Japanese.  My gut feeling is he probably doesn't know much.  Just a hunch.  Oh well, good luck to him.  Hopefully if the D'backs did get some sushi in return, they invite some of us over for dinner.
