As we get ready for another fun-filled season in the NL West, here are my predictions for this division only. I will make my MLB picks later this week. The season for the Arizona Diamondbacks starts this Friday against the Colorado Rockies.
Here are my predictions:
Standings:
San Francisco Giants 97-65
Colorado Rockies 92-70
Los Angeles Dodgers 89-73
San Diego Padres 79-83
Arizona Diamondbacks 67-95
That’s right, I pick the Dbacks to finish last. Sure, they will score some runs, but they are giving up runs this spring at an alarming rate. I never thought we could find a pitching staff worse than last season. I feel like we may be wishing for last years staff by mid-season. Rodrigo Lopez, where are you?
Best Pitcher: Tim Lincecum, Giants
Best Hitter: Andre Eithier, Dodgers
Best Comeback: Russell Branyan, Dbacks
First managerial ejection: Kirk Gibson, game 3 of opening weekend series in Colorado.
First Dbacks home loss: Friday April 8th against the Cincinnati Reds.
Most one-sided season series: San Francisco 14-4 over the Dbacks
Most home runs: Colorado Rockies
Least home runs: San Diego Padres
Best pitching staff ERA: San Francisco Giants
Worst pitching staff ERA: Arizona Diamondbacks
Topics: Arizona Diamondbacks, Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles Dodgers, Rodrigo Lopez, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants
