Dbacks Squeak One Out

Whew – that was close.  Bullpen made us sweat it out, but the Arizona Diamondbacks just defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 7-5 to win the series.  Tomorrow they go for the sweep.  This is a different team than what we saw in New York, although that shaky bullpen looks familiar.

I’m not going to complain too much when the Dbacks win, but it’s just going to be one of those seasons, again.  Whatever that was out there tonight, bottom line is the Dbacks won and that’s all that matters in the end.  Ryan Roberts continued to be hot.  He hit his 5th homer of the season.

Tomorrow’s game is an early one.  12:40 at Chase Field.

Go figure, get swept by the worst team in baseball, then immediately come back and win a series against the best team in baseball. Gotta love it.

    Dear Mr. Allen,

I am planning a mock draft where each writer that knows their team the best takes over that team for the first two rounds. I would send out an email when it starts. Here would be a pick:

    #1

    Pittsburg Pirates select: Anthony Rendon

    By: John Smith, pirates.blogspot.com

A description of his tools and why he picked Rendon.

At the end we can put it together and post it on all our blogs.

I would be honored if you took the Diamondbacks.
