The Arizona Diamondbacks are on the road again. After a series split with the Washington Nationals, the Dbacks head off to face the Pittsburgh Pirates for three starting tomorrow night at PNC Park and then a four game stand in Miami against the Florida Marlins. It will be important to make this a winning trip as once they come back home, they will be facing the San Francisco Giants.
First, Pittsburgh. Daniel Hudson gets things started off tomorrow night. Starting off doesn't exactly agree with Hudson these days. He has had a rough first few innings the last two outings. I have an idea. Someone should tell Hudson the game is already in the third when he takes the mound. Better yet, let's do things in reverse. J.J. Putz should start the game, pitch the first inning, and then David Hernandez pitch the second inning. Then, leave it to Hudson from there. In essence, by starting, Putz has closed the deal.
Of course, we all know that won't happen in a million years, so the next best thing has to be for Hudson to get it figured out early. Coming off a loss to the Nats to end the home stand, it is vital the Dbacks get their winning momentum back!
