Yeah, I knew as soon as I busted out a post about the Arizona Diamondbacks unbeaten record against the American League the Dbacks would go and ruin it. That’s just fine though, today they can start the winning over again in the final game of their series with the Chicago White Sox. After defeating the White Sox on Friday night 4-1, they took one on the chin last night 6-2.
Today the Dbacks send Josh Collmenter, 4-2 with a 1.86ERA out to the mound against the White Sox Philip Humber, 6-3, 2.95 ERA. Collmenter is coming off a sub-par performance against the San Francisco Giants. He looks to redeem himself with a strong performance against the White Sox.
It is important to keep pace with the Giants, who have been doing some losing of their own this weekend, as they have dropped the first two games to the Oakland A’s. You can probably bet good money they will do everything in their power to avoid the sweep. They usually come out on top when faced with adversity, so it is vital Collmenter comes out today and holds the Sox in check.
