The Arizona Diamondbacks month of July starts on the road and ends on the road with one homestand in between. Not only where they play but who they play should help us determine if this team is in it for the long haul or we were just treated to a nice first half of the season.
The easiest series of the month might just be the one they are about to start this evening against the Oakland A’s in Oakland. After Oakland, it is on to road series against the Milwaukee Brewers and St. Louis Cardinals. By the way, both of those teams have been flip flopping for the NL Central lead. The long 10-game road trip is something you can thank the MLB All-Star Game for as Chase Field needs to be readied.
After the break, they will get home series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, Brewers, and the Colorado Rockies. The end the month on trips to play the San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers. August starts in San Francisco. So, here we go, hold on to your hats. With anticipated moves, July truly should be the month where we are able to find out if these Dbacks are for real or not.
