As we head into the second half of the season, it is time to take a look at the current roster before all the possible trades and roster moves are made as the Arizona Diamondbacks continue to contend for a possible NL West divisional title. Next Up - Micah Owings.
Owings: 3-0, 2.96 ERA
Review: Micah Owings has been a pleasant surprise since returning to the Dbacks back in May. He started out in the starting rotation until the return of Zach Duke. He has been a great addition to the bullpen since then. He has pitched 24.1 innings, giving up just 8 ER.
Outlook: With the recent struggles of Duke, Owings may be ready for a return to the rotation. Nothing has been officially mentioned but he has to be a prime candidate. Owings can really help the Dbacks get to the next level continuing to pitch at the level he currently is at.
