You thought interleague frustrated you over the past week? You haven’t seen anything yet as the Arizona Diamondbacks head back to NL action against the Milwaukee Brewers, starting today at 1:05pm. Daniel Hudson, 9-5, 3.49 ERA faces Shaun Marcum, 7-3, 3.16 ERA.
The Brewers have a similar overall record at 45-40, however the Brew Crew are in a tie for first with the St. Louis Cardinals in the NL Central, while the Dbacks are still sitting 3 games behind the San Francisco Giants in the NL West.
These Brewers are a tough team to face. They have All-Stars in Prince Fielder, Ryan Braun, and Rickie Weeks. Braun injured himself in Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Twins, so he will not be in today’s lineup.
As for the Dbacks, well, it was a rough weekend in Oakland, only winning 1 of 3. It will be Hudson to start another winning streak. To do it though, he will have to stay out of early trouble. If he falls behind early as he has done several times this season, although not recently, the Brewers will be a very tough team to come back on at home.
