All booing aside, congrats to Milwaukee Brewers Prince Fielder for winning the 2011 All-Star Game MVP.  He won it on the bat that has made him so famous.  He hit a three-run homer in the fourth inning of the game to give the NL a lead they would never relinquish.

Look, we booed Fielder for his selection, or lack there of in the Home Run Derby.  He didn’t take Justin Upton.  It is what it is.  Fielder is a heck of a player.  Any team would be lucky to have him.  I just have one thing to say though.  Prince, man, what’s up with your kids hair?  He is the first Brewer to win this honor.

His three-run shot showed why he was selected as captain of the NL Derby team.  He took his friends and teammate and you can’t fault him for that.  Doesn’t mean we have to like it though.  In the end though, cheer for the man.  He did the National League proud.
