The Arizona Diamondbacks might not have been playing on the field today, but they made news off of it. They signed first round draft pick seventh overall, Archie Bradley, to a contract worth a reported $5 million. Bradley, also a star in football, may have also agreed to a two-sport deal according to MLBTradeRumors.com
The standout in football and baseball, has maintained that baseball is his first love, however with his performance excellence in football as well, the deal probably makes sense to him. Here’s hoping he sticks to baseball.
Bradley and Trevor Bauer, the other first round pick, picked third overall, have now both signed. Now the Dbacks can focus on getting them run through the minor leagues over the next season or two and get them onto the Dbacks roster.
