Third Quarter Dbacks Review: Josh Collmenter

With now just under 40 games left in the regular season, we are in the home stretch, the final quarter of the 2011 season.  It is time to review the current Dbacks roster to look at what they’ve accomplished, where they are now, and what they can provide, if anything, in the final six-plus weeks of the National League West pennant race.  First up: Josh Collmenter

What he’s accomplished: a 7-7 record with a 3.47 ERA.  An early rookie of the year candidate.

What he’s doing now: Had a fantastic outing against Roy Halladay on Tuesday night, showing he belongs in the rotation, for now.

What he means to the Dbacks run to the pennant: A lot.  Need to see about seven more starts like last night. Be consistent and everything should be fine for him.
