With now just under 40 games left in the regular season, we are in the home stretch, the final quarter of the 2011 season. It is time to review the current Arizona Diamondbacks roster to look at what they’ve accomplished, where they are now, and what they can provide, if anything, in the final six-plus weeks of the National League West pennant race. Next up: Micah Owings
What he’s accomplished: 6-0, 2.63 ERA. A great middle to long relief guy. Has had four starts.
What he’s doing now: Along with Zach Duke, he’s the long guy in the pen. He can give you a good four or five innings if you need him in that capacity a couple of times a week.
What he means to the Dbacks run to the pennant: Very important. Owings seems to be a game changer everytime he comes in. The intangibles he brings injects energy into the lineup.
