Third Quarter Dbacks Review: J.J. Putz

With now just under 40 games left in the regular season, we are in the home stretch, the final quarter of the 2011 season. It is time to review the current Arizona Diamondbacks roster to look at what they’ve accomplished, where they are now, and what they can provide, if anything, in the final six-plus weeks of the National League West pennant race. Next up: J.J. Putz

What he’s accomplished: 2-2, 2.84 ERA, 30 saves

What he’s doing now: Saving games like it’s cool.  Biggest save of the season Tuesday night in Philly.  30 big ones so far.

What he means to the Dbacks run to the pennant: Dbacks need his back to stand up the last six weeks of the season and into any possible playoffs for the Dbacks to make any noise.  Without Putz, the Dbacks will be without many more wins.
