In the first of the postseason awards, Fansided has voted the Atlanta Braves closer Craig Kimbrel as the National League Rookie of the Year. It really should come as no surprise. Kimbrel finished tied for the National League lead in saves with 46, which was one better than the Arizona Diamondbacks J.J. Putz, who had 45. He finished with a 1.95 ERA to boot. Not too bad for his first season.
I selected the Dbacks’ Josh Collmenter as NL Rookie of the Year.
