So the mourning period for the Arizona Diamondbacks 2011 season is over. Ok, so we haven’t finished this postseason yet, however for the Dbacks it is never too early to start looking ahead to 2012, especially since the season starts in like 18 seconds. It’s a short off-season. We are just shy of four months till pitchers and catchers report. So it is time to review the current roster, look at what they did in 2011 and what the prospects are for 2012. Next up: Aaron Hill
2011 review: AaRon Hill was the guy looking for a new start. After hitting .225 in Toronto, when he got traded for an even worse hitter in Kelly Johnson, there wasn’t much hope for improvement. Then Hill found his liking to NL West pitching and played just great over the last six weeks.
2012 preview: Hill is looking for a multi-year deal and it doesn’t appear the Dbacks are willing to give him one. Unfortunately GM Kevin Towers thinks six weeks of production could just be a mirage. He appreciates the contributions but said six weeks does not make a season. True, very true. However, there is something to be said with the way he played. Hopefully they can get something worked out. Hill was solid for the Dbacks.
