All Quiet on the Diamondbacks Front

The Arizona Diamondbacks are one of the few teams who did not make any late additions to the 40-man roster.  Yesterday was the deadline to make such moves to protect players from the Rule 5 draft.  Those who might have had to be added in the off-season actually were added earlier.  Guys like Jarrod Parker, who, really, will be part of the 25-man active roster come March.  No other moves have been announced by the Dbacks here recently, but that could change soon.

I expect the Dbacks to do something about the starting pitching, possibly adding another starter.  They do have to be careful who they get and what they spend there though with all the young talent on the horizon.  Trevor Bauer, Jarrod Parker, Tyler Skaggs just to name a few guys that could pick up a spot in the rotation at some point next season.

The Dbacks probably will look at another bat as well.  I think they are done with infielders, don’t you think?  Ok, yeah, probably not.  Third base could still be addressed, although I’m fine if they leave it alone.  With the winter meetings coming up in a couple of weeks on December 5th, expect a lot of noise around baseball to start being made.

Luckly they have a future MVP to depend on if they can’t land anyone on the market. Upton is getting better every year. It’s kind scary!
