Arizona Diamondbacks to be Featured on "Mike'd Up" Spring Game

While the casual fan probably finds a Spring game about as entertaining as a paint drying contest, MLB Network has added a new twist to an exhibition game that should make it more interesting.  The best thing–the contest will feature your Arizona Diamondbacks.

Assuming you’re one of the 6% of the nation that gets MLB Network–I kid!–on March 7th at 3:00PM you’ll be able to see and hear the D-Backs face off against the Cleveland Indians in a game featuring live in-game audio.  Up to six players per team–and the coaching staffs–will be fitted with mics in order to provide a new experience to fans.  Hopefully we’re not treated to a recounting of Grady Sizemore’s exploits the night before in downtown Scottsdale.  There will be a several second delay–I’m assuming just in case Gibby takes verbal exception to a call.  Definitely a cool idea, made better since it will include the defending 2011 NL West Champs.
