Just a friendly programming reminder from Venom Strikes that your Arizona Diamondbacks will be featured in a live in-game audio broadcast by MLB Network today at 1PM MST/3PM EST.
The D-Backs will face off against the Cleveland Indians and MLB Network’s Matt Vasgersian–a bit underrated in my opinon–will be the solitary
broadcast voice. MLB.com’s explanation of the miking process makes it sound like a can’t miss experience for baseball fans:
“Managers Manny Acta of the Indians and Kirk Gibson of the D-backs will be wired throughout for live sound, and so will first-base umpire Gerry Davis. Also wearing microphones will be the players positioned at catcher, first, second, third, shortstop and center field. Live microphones are planted on each base, the first- and third-base lines, and along the outfield wall.”
As added incentive to watch, prized acquistion Trevor Cahill will get the start for the Diamondbacks. It’s highly recommended that all D-Backs fans tune in, or at least set your DVR to record the action. I’ll provide some commentary throughout the game for those who can’t catch the action live.
