D-backs Offense Dormant, Fall 1-0

For the second straight night, the Arizona Diamondbacks (30-32) failed to produce any offense against the Texas Rangers (37-26) in a 1-0 loss in Arlington.

The  D-backs spoiled yet another awesome start by Arizona rookie Wade Miley (7-3), as he allowed only three hits and one run in 7 2/3 innings pitched. The rookie was able to lower his season ERA to 2.39 as he produced another quality start for the club. He seems to be the only consistant pitcher in the rotation at this point in the season.

Arizona’a offense was stagnant, as they weren’t able to produce any runs and only six hits off of the Texas pitching staff. The team went 0-3 with runners in scoring position and left six basrunners on base.

After an offensive explosion at home, the boys seem to have forgotten their bats. It was only the second shutout for the D-backs this season, and they have lost seven straight games against Texas.

Daniel Hudson will take the mound tomorrow to try and avoid the sweep for the snakes. Either way, the boys need to bust out with the bats big time in order to salvage this road trip.
