Lars Anderson Designated For Assignment

With the trade that acquired five players from Atlanta yesterday, the D’backs had to make a roster move to set their 40-man roster. Lars Anderson, a 25-year-old infielder, was designated for assignment to make room for infielder Martin Prado and pitcher Randall Delgado.

Anderson, who was a acquired from Cleveland in the Trevor Bauer trade, hit .250 with nine home runs and 59 RBI’s for Class AAA Pawtucket (Red Sox) and Class AAA Columbus (Indians) last season. In a brief stint with the Red Sox last season, Anderson hit .125 (1 for 8).
