Archie Bradley to Debut Tonight

His much-anticipated Spring Training debut was ruined by rain on Saturday. Tonight is a different story. Archie Bradley, the #1 pitching prospect in all of baseball, is set to make the start for the Arizona Diamondbacks at Salt River Fields in the second game of a day-night doubleheader. Game time is set for 9:10 PM EST, 7:10 PM MST. The opponent will be a split squad from the Colorado Rockies.

Bradley was supposed to start on Saturday against the Chicago Cubs at Salt River Fields. It would have been interesting to see the big right-hander take on another highly-touted prospect, Chicago third baseman Kris Bryant. No word yet on which Rockies will be playing tonight although we do know of one player who won’t be suiting up. Jonathan Gray, Colorado’s #1-ranked prospect (#14 overall according to mlb.com) will get take the mound in the Rockies’ afternoon game against the Seattle Mariners.

Best of luck tonight to Archie Bradley as he begins his quest to make the D’backs’ rotation.
