Archie Bradley Set to Pitch for Reno Tonight

With another poor performance each by both Trevor Cahill and Randall Delgado, Arizona Diamondbacks fans have to be wondering when one of those two will be kicked out of the rotation. To that end, Archie Bradley will be making his second start for Triple A Reno tonight. The organization’s top prospect threw five shutout innings on Sunday allowing four hits and two walks while striking out three.

It is interesting that the D’backs just signed Randy Wolf to a Minor League deal. The veteran left-hander has been a starter throughout his long career and it remains to be seen if he will leapfrog Bradley should Arizona decides to re-enforce the rotation. Bradley still has control issues that have to be ironed out before the organization feels comfortable enough to bring him up to the Major Leagues. In fact, GM Kevin Towers brought up Michael Bolsinger as a possibility to be brought up to the Snakes.

Game time this evening 7:05 PM MST with the Aces playing in El Paso. Come back to venomstrikes to check on how Archie Bradley fares this evening.
