Its time once again to play a home series against the rival Los Angeles Dodgers and this time its not 7.000 miles away in Australia. After taking 2 of 3 in San Francisco, the Diamondbacks come back to Chase Field to host the Dodgers with revenge and payback on their minds. The last time the Dodgers came to Chase Field, they celebrated the 2013 N.L West division title in the Snakes which only upped the intensity of this rivalry. After last July’s brawl in Los Angeles the rivalry is now officially on par with the Redsox and Yankees for the best rivalries in all of baseball. It seems like a long time ago that the Dbacks faced the Dodgers in the MLB opening series and it was pretty forgettable for Arizona; the team lost both games starting 0-2 on the season and at home.

With that in mind the Dbacks are coming into this series against L.A with payback and revenge in mind for last year. Keep in mind the Dbacks were at the top of the N.L West before the brawl last season. After the brawl things quickly changed with the Dodgers going on the historic run and the Snakes fell off and that resulted in a race in the West that wasn’t even close. The Dbacks are out to show the Dodgers and the rest of the baseball world that they can compete with the bad guys from Los Angeles.

More importantly after winning their first series of 2014, the Dbacks are looking to start a winning streak and move up the ladder in the West. It starts tonight with Brandon McCarthy taking the mound. Once again it will be imperative for him to go deep into the ballgame. Here is all the info you need to know for tonight’s game against the evil empire:
