Diamondbacks-Dodgers Game 1 Preview: Cody Ross is back

Sure Kevin Towers and Kirk Gibson got a vote of confidence but this season is spiraling out of control. The Diamondbacks are 4-14 and are on a 6 game losing streak after going 0-6 on the last homestand. Now the team starts a 6 game roadtrip with a three game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers who the Dbacks are 0-5 against this season. If the Snakes are going to win more this season, they are going to have win more at home and against there own division. The Dbacks right now are 1-11 at home which just wont cut it with the fans and if the team hopes to make the playoffs that wont cut it. The Dbacks are also 4-11 against the N.L West this season. If any team wants to make the playoffs they have to win in their division. Hopefully the Dbacks just had to get away from home to start winning again. Lets hope it begins tonight against the Dodgers in L.A. Here is the need to know info for the series opener:

Need to Know: Wade Miley struggled with his command in his last outing and the Dodgers made him pay. L.A. tagged him for five runs on eight hits in five innings, which was Miley’s shortest outing of the season…Also vs. the Dodgers on Opening Night in Australia he took the loss…Miley is 2-2 on the year and if he really is the Dbacks ace he will have to play the role of stopper tonight and end the losing streak…He is 3-3 with a 4.21 era against the Dodgers in his career including the two starts against them this season…This will be Greinke’s Greinke’s second consecutive start against the D-Backs and he can’t get enough of them, going 3-0 with a 1.78 ERA in four starts….In his career he is 3-3 with a 4.96 era against Arizona. Cody Ross will be in the lineup batting fifth and playing LF in his return off the D.L.
