The Arizona Diamondbacks evened their road record to 8-8 with their series victory in San Diego against the Padres. The Crew just came off of a four game series split with the Reds in Cincinnati and will be without Ryan Braun as he was put on the 15-day disabled list with a strained rib cage.
The D’backs send Mike Bolsinger to the mound in search of victory number two. He is 1-1 with a 5.79 ERA in four appearances, three of them starts. He gave up four runs in five innings in his last outing against the Colorado Rockies. The righty has a problem with opposing lineups the second time through the order. His ERA is 0.00 in innings one through three then balloons to 13.00 in innings four through six. Matt Garza, who had been linked to the Snakes several times over the past nine months goes for the Brewers. His record is 1-3 with a 5.00 ERA in six starts. He was cuffed around by the St. Louis Cardinals in his last appearance, lasting only three innings allowing five runs and five hits while walking four.
Ender Inciarte gets his fourth straight start in center field with A.J. Pollock still hobbled by a groin injury. The rookie collected his first Major League hit on Friday and has two hits in his first 12 at-bats. Alfredo Marte gets another start in left field.
