With the Arizona Diamondbacks dropping another series in 2014, fans need all the good news they can get. Fortunately, Aaron Blair is around to provide just that. The #36 pick in the 2013 Draft had another dominant outing for the Mobile BayBears.
Blair was superb, firing seven innings against the Jackson Generals. He allowed only one run on four hits, walking one and striking out seven. The 22-year old Blair threw 97 pitches, 60 of them for strikes. So far, he is 2-0 with a 0.66 ERA for the Double A BayBears, who are once again in first place in their division. In 13 2/3 innings, the 6-foot-5, 230 pound Blair has struck out 16 and walked only one.
If he stays on schedule, Blair’s next start will be July 31st or August 1st against the Mississippi Braves. Be sure to come back to venomstrikes.com to check on his progress.
