Archie Bradley is Still Struggling With His Control

We keep hearing about how there is an outside chance that Archie Bradley could find himself with the Arizona Diamondbacks before the end of the season. If the criteria needed is a solid walks to innings ratio, he wouldn’t make the cut.

Over his last two starts, Bradley has pitched 10 1/3 innings and has allowed six walks. He also has given up eight hits and has struck out nine. His last outing was yesterday when he lasted only 4 1/3 innings giving up one run, allowing four walks and four hits. Bradley picked up his second victory for the Double A Mobile BayBears on July 30th when he went six innings and gave up three runs. He surrendered four hits and two walks with three strikeouts. His totals for the BayBears: eight starts, 38 1/3 innings pitched, 30 hits allowed, walked 23 and struck out 31.

Maybe Bradley is just bored at Mobile. Would a bump up to Triple A Reno or the D’backs change his numbers? I am not sure he can go anywhere until he gets his walks under control.
