It was a change of pace for the snakes as they were only able to manufacture one run in the two first games of the series combined. the boys were seemingly able to score at will on Thursday night which was much welcomed by D-backs faithful everywhere.

The Rangers struck first with an RBI single by Adrian Beltre in the bottom of the first inning. The D-backs responded in the top of the second when Jason Kubel hit a two-run home run to take the lead 2-1. They would tack on two more runs in the top of the third when Lyle Overbay drove in Miguel Montero and Justin Upton on a two-run double to right-center field.

The team would erupt in the sixth inning with an RBI double by Overbay, an RBI single by Aaron Hill, and a three-run homer by Gerardo Parra to take a 9-3 lead. They would cap the night off with a two-run home run by Montero.

Daniel Hudson bounced back from his worst start of the season, throwing seven strong innings, allowing only five hits and three runs. He struck out a season-high seven batters without allowing a walk.

Trevor Cahill will take the mound tomorrow to begin a three game series against possibly the hottest team in the league, in the Los Angeles Angels of Aneheim. In an interesting pitching matchup, former Arizona Diamondbacks ace Dan Haren will take the mound for the Halos against his former club.
