Jamie Moyer is like 50 years old.

For the Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher it must have seemed like he was 25 again with the way the Dbacks fought against him tonight. Once again the Dbacks had missed opportunity after missed opportunity, none more so than the second inning bases loaded no out oppotunity they had. Unfortunately, they failed to get a runner across. A similar situation presented itself in the eighth. After scoring two runs, the Dbacks still had a chance to build on that with two on and two out. It didn’t happen.

You can’t expect to leave men on base against a good team like the Phillies and expect to win. Jon Garland was once again very average. If he was showcasing himself for a trade tonight, then the phones must have stopped ringing about half way through tonight’s contest.

By the way, who invited all those Phillies fans to the ballpark tonight? I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of watching these crazed people invade our ballpark and cheer for the opposing team. It’s embarrassing to say the least. If these guys liked Philly so much, why don’t they go back? I mean, if it was so great being a Phillies fan, go back! Don’t let the sunshine hit you on the backside on the way out of town.

Who am I to complain though? At least they follow a winner. More than I can say for myself.
