Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Melvin Mora was placed on the bereavement list today. The Dbacks would not mention anything further on Mora's situation. If I were a betting man though, and people that know me know that I am, I would say the reason could be because his game has died. At 39, Mora is the second oldest player on the team behind catcher Henry Blanco.

Seriously though, no further comment from the Dbacks was forthcoming on Mora, who is hitting .262 with 0 HR and 11 RBI, which by today's Dbacks standards is All-Star quality. Thoughts and prayers to Mora and his family and hope for a quick return.
