The Arizona Diamondbacks have had a lot of “tryouts” at second base over the years.  Some good at defense.  Some good at offense, some gave a good try at both.  Now it is Aaron Hill‘s turn.  Hill, acquired in August for the stretch run of the 2011 season, played about as good a six week stretch as you could expect for a guy changing leagues, hitting just .225.

Congrats to Bert Blyleven and Roberto Alomar on their inductions into the baseball Hall of Fame.  Both made significant contributions on the field as players and for those performances they deserve to be in the elected. For Alomar though, should more than just his on the field performance come into question?
