We all know about the Sports Illustrated cover jinx.  You know, the one where your favorite team or player, after getting on a hot streak and the one everyone is talking about, gets their cover shot on SI.  The Arizona Diamondbacks should pray, we should all pray, that doesn't happen.  This ride has been to much fun and it's just getting started.

So the Arizona Diamondbacks seem intent on finding every free agent who used to  be worth something into the mix as they take a look at how their roster will fill out for the 2011 season.  Today, according to Sports Illustrated, they signed Russell Branyan to a minor league contract.
