Last Week of Spring Training

By Scott Allen

I, for one, can not wait for spring training to end.  Or can I?  If the Diamondbacks pitching and defense is any indication, I might want them to stay in training for at least another six weeks.  Then again, why would we want to waste people’s time?

It is becoming clearer and clearer that the Dbacks still have a lot of work to do.  They continue to commit too many errors and their team ERA is amongst the highest in baseball.  I realize this is spring training, however it has to give you some kind of indication of what to expect.  I don’t like what I see so far.

They have one week to right the ship before playing for real against Colorado on April 6th.   On a bright side, starting picther Dan Haren had 10 strikeouts on Friday.  That is something right?
