We Have to Turn it Around

By Unknown author

This has been a rough week for the (5-6) Diamondbacks, going 2-3 and having to endure their first losing streak of the season. The worst part about this losing streak is that it has come at the hands of NL division rivals the LA Dodgers and San Diego Padres. If there is one thing I know about baseball is that winning in your division can be what makes or breaks your season. It has only been 2 weeks but we have already seen the two heads that the Diamondbacks can show.

It has been hard to watch the Dbacks bullpen blow save after save. Didn’t we leave that back in the 2009 season? With both Dan Haren and Edwin Jackson pitching solidly to begin the season, it’s a shame they cannot get the support they deserve from the bullpen. The Diamondbacks closer Chad Qualls struggled this week giving up two save opportunities against the Dodgers.

This is the week we see if our Diamondbacks are really here to stay. I want to see how they respond after their first losing streak. Tomorrow we have the Padres and a chance to salvage this series and turn our misfortune around. Let’s GO Dbacks!!
