A Not So Fantastic Start to Road Trip

By Scott Allen

Well,  just about what I expected to start the six-game road trip against the Boston Red Sox.  Two games, two losses.  Neither game close.  They weren’t traditional blow-outs, but it just seems like the Dbacks are going through the motions, like they expected this to happen.

One bright spot in tonight’s 6-2 loss was the first game for newly acquired pitcher Sam Demel, who was traded from the Oakland A’s yesterday for Conor Jackson.  He put the Sox out in the 8th inning this evening 1-2-3, including a strikeout to end the inning.  Justin Upton had a two-run homer, but that was about as exciting as it got.

Tomorrow’s game has been moved to 3:10pm from 4:10 to accommodate Boston Celtics fans.  Tomorrow evening is game 7 of the NBA Finals.  It doesn’t matter what time they play though, odds are we will be talking about a Boston sweep this time tomorrow night.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.
