Collmenter Ices Nationals

By Scott Allen
Josh Collmenter folks.  Get to know the name because I think the young man has a spot in the Arizona Diamondbacks starting rotation for a long time to come.  Tonight he schooled the Washington Nationals for a 4-0 victory.  Collmenter went 7 innings for the first time this season.  David Hernandez and Joe Patterson finished things off and the Dbacks are back on track.

While Collmenter saw his ERA drop to 1.25 overall, the Dbacks offense did enough to get on the board and let him coast.  Chris Young hit his 10th home run and Stephen Drew hit a three-run triple.  That was all the offense needed on Friday night.

Tonight was the 4th shutout of the season for the Dbacks, who only had 3 the entire 2010 season.  Good things continue to happen for the Dbacks.  Different things continue to happen.  The Dbacks go to 32-26 on the season.  Not much else to say on tonight's game other than it's great to have found a potential star out of nowhere in Collmenter.
