Dbacks Look to Continue Unbeaten Streak Against AL

By Scott Allen

The Arizona Diamondbacks aren’t the best team in the world.  They aren’t the best team in the National League and until later this evening, won’t be the best team in the NL West, however, they look to continue the mastery of the American League as they take on the Chicago White Sox in game 2 of a 3 game set at Chase Field on Saturday night.

Going into tonight’s game, the Dbacks are 4-0 against the AL this season.  Ok, nothing to write home about.  Not much to write about here either until that victory total gets a little bigger, but it’s the truth and thought it noteworthy for the time being.  Granted, sweeping the Twins at home and beating the White Sox in game 1 of this series is not like beating the New York Yankees or Boston Red Sox, however it is still a great start to interleague play.

Still, there are a lot of games to be played but I thought it important to make a story out of it while the Dbacks were still undefeated against the AL.  They will be tested the next two games and then when they hit the road this week in Kansas City and Detroit before coming home to face the Cleveland Indians.

Tonight Zach Duke, 1-1, 4.56 ERA faces the White Sox John Danks, 2-8, 4.54 ERA
