As we head into the second half of the season, it is time to take a look at the current roster before all the possible trades and roster moves are made as the Arizona Diamondbacks continue to contend for a possible NL West divisional title. Next Up – Joe Paterson.
Paterson: 0-1, 2.89 ERA
Review: Joe Paterson early on was the lefty who was getting everyone he faced, out. Then, reality set in. Paterson had a 0.00 ERA through his first 20 appearances. He was finally scored upon against the Minnesota Twins. However, he has only been scored upon in 3 of his 34 appearances. You can’t complain too much about that.
Outlook: Paterson is the left specialist the Dbacks needed for the longest time. If he continues to pitch the way he has been, he’ll be down in that bullpen for the long haul.
