Upton Has His Mojo Back

Not that I was worried about Justin Upton last weekend after the All-Star break against the Los Angeles Dodgers, but let’s just say he probably could have used a couple of days off in my opinion at that point.  Well, after no days off and a week later, forget it.  He just needed to warm up for Milwaukee Brewers and Colorado Rockies.

Upton is 14-23 over the past six games.  That stretch includes 4 doubles, 2 homers, and a triple.  Oh and 10 RBI.  If he isn’t named the National League Player of the Week, then there is some injustice being done.

This is the kind of hitting that MVP stuff is made of.  He clearly is becoming the superstar the Dbacks wanted him to be when they threw his name out there as a trade teaser in the off-season.  The Dbacks will need alot more of that production down the stretch.
